# LISTA Deflationary Initiative: 20% Token Burn (LIP-021)

With the successful implementation of [LIP-021](https://snapshot.box/#/s:listavote.eth/proposal/0xdb92580e04ca8d688404a689a99579294715bd9ab858cc9b7ba637599720a6ff), Lista DAO has permanently burned 200 million LISTA tokens, representing 20% of the maximum supply.

This strategic move has reduced the total maximum supply from 1 billion to 800 million LISTA, delivering an immediate deflationary impact to enhance the protocol's long-term value and sustainability.

* **Burn Amount**: 200 million LISTA (20% of the original maximum supply).
* **New Maximum Supply**: 800 million LISTA.
* **Execution Method**: Tokens were permanently removed from circulation by transferring them to the Black Hole Address, ensuring they can never be recovered or used.
